Contributor, Accreditation & Conduct
Contributor Operational Policy
Eleven One Media LLC · Qatar Financial Centre Registration No. 4312 · Doha, State of Qatar
Version 1.0 · 2 September 2026
Purpose. This Policy establishes the standards that apply to individuals and organisations contributing editorial or visual content to Eleven One Media. It protects the integrity of the agency, its clients, event organisers, rights holders and contributors, and clarifies that contributor status is not the same as authority to represent the company.
Core rule
Registration, profile approval, publication of content or previous collaboration does not authorise any contributor to represent Eleven One Media, request accreditation, obtain access, seek visas, use company credentials or make commitments in the company’s name. Prior written authorisation is required for each such use.
1. Scope and Application
This Policy applies to all current and prospective contributors who submit or propose to submit photographs, video, text, reporting, interviews, audio or other editorial material to Eleven One Media, whether directly, through the platform, by assignment or through another approved workflow.
- It applies across sports, news, politics, culture, entertainment, business, lifestyle, events and any other editorial desk or coverage area operated by Eleven One Media.
- It applies regardless of whether the contributor is paid per assignment, paid through a revenue share, operating under another commercial arrangement, or contributing under a separate written agreement.
- Where a separate signed contributor, assignment or licensing agreement conflicts with this Policy, the signed agreement controls to the extent of the conflict.
2. Contributor Status Categories
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Applicant | Has applied or submitted material for review. No right to describe themselves as an Eleven One Media contributor. |
| Verified Contributor | Identity and professional profile have been approved. May submit content, but does not automatically qualify for agency-supported accreditation. |
| Active Contributor | Meets the agency’s current activity, quality, compliance and submission standards. |
| Accreditation-Eligible Contributor | An Active Contributor who meets the additional eligibility criteria in Section 8. Eligibility does not guarantee approval of any accreditation request. |
| Authorised Assignment Contributor | Has received a written assignment or written authorisation for a specified event, subject, period or purpose. |
| Inactive Contributor | Has not met current activity standards or has ceased regular contribution. May be required to requalify before accreditation support. |
| Suspended / Terminated | Contributor privileges are restricted or ended because of inactivity, misconduct, compliance concerns or another legitimate reason. |
3. Eligibility, Onboarding and Verification
- Provide accurate identity, contact and professional information and, where requested, valid identification, press credentials, portfolio links, tax or payment information and other reasonable verification documents.
- Disclose any employer, agency, federation, club, organisation or third-party relationship that could create a conflict of interest or affect rights in submitted content.
- Provide a portfolio that demonstrates professional quality, news judgment, technical competence and ethical conduct appropriate to the relevant desk.
- Complete any onboarding, legal, security, data-protection, editorial or technical requirements requested by Eleven One Media.
- Keep profile information current and promptly notify Eleven One Media of material changes.
4. Professional and Editorial Standards
- Content must be authentic and must not intentionally misrepresent the scene, event, person, location or chronology.
- Captions, names, dates, locations and other metadata must be accurate to the contributor’s reasonable knowledge and corrected promptly if an error is discovered.
- Editorial images and video must not be materially manipulated in a way that changes the factual meaning of the scene. Ordinary technical adjustments may be acceptable when consistent with newsroom standards.
- Contributors must respect applicable laws, venue rules, safety instructions, privacy rights, court restrictions, embargoes and legitimate access conditions.
- Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, fabrication, plagiarism, bribery, credential misuse and deceptive conduct are prohibited.
- AI-generated or materially AI-altered content must not be submitted as documentary editorial content unless Eleven One Media has expressly authorised the workflow and the content is clearly identified as required.
5. Ownership, Rights and Submission Authority
- A contributor may submit only material they created or are legally authorised to submit and license.
- The contributor must not knowingly submit content that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, contractual, accreditation, venue or other third-party rights.
- Unless a signed agreement provides otherwise, submitting content does not by itself transfer copyright ownership to Eleven One Media; the applicable contributor or licensing agreement determines the rights granted to the agency.
- Contributors must preserve original files, capture information and relevant evidence of authorship when reasonably required for verification or rights-management purposes.
- Where model, property or other releases are required for a proposed use, the contributor must disclose whether such releases exist and provide them when requested.
6. Activity and Active Contributor Standard
Eleven One Media is a working media agency, not a credential-membership service. Contributor status is intended for professionals who contribute consistently to the agency’s editorial operation. A person who uploads a small amount of content and remains inactive cannot rely on that historic contribution solely when seeking access or accreditation.
Initial active-contributor baseline
Unless a desk-specific rule or written exception applies, a contributor should normally have at least three separate accepted editorial coverages or assignments and at least 30 accepted editorial assets during the preceding 60 days, with no unexplained period of more than 30 consecutive days without meaningful contribution. Quality, relevance and reliability remain more important than volume alone.
- The baseline is an operational eligibility standard, not an entitlement. Eleven One Media may raise, lower or adapt activity thresholds by desk, market, season, event category or contributor type.
- One event with many near-duplicate images does not necessarily constitute regular activity. The agency may assess diversity of coverage, timeliness, metadata quality, editorial value and reliability.
- New contributors may be supported before reaching the baseline only through a documented exception approved by an authorised editor or manager.
- Inactive contributors may be asked to resume regular submissions and complete a re-review period before accreditation support is considered.
7. Use of the Eleven One Media Name, Logo and Affiliation
- Contributors may accurately state an approved contributor relationship only in the form and for the period authorised by Eleven One Media.
- No contributor may present themselves as an employee, officer, director, spokesperson, legal representative, staff photographer, official correspondent or authorised agent unless that status has been expressly granted in writing.
- The Eleven One Media logo, letterhead, registration information, company address, signatures, credentials or official templates must not be copied, altered or used to create letters, badges, applications or representations without written approval.
- Contributors must not create email addresses, websites, social accounts, business cards or credentials that could cause third parties to believe they are an official corporate office or authorised company representative.
- Any public reference to Eleven One Media must be truthful, professional and consistent with the scope of the contributor’s actual relationship with the agency.
8. Accreditation, Credentials, Event Access and Official Requests
No self-accreditation
A contributor must not independently request a media accreditation, press pass, match credential, restricted-area pass, invitation, interview access, visa support, government permission, federation approval or similar benefit in the name of Eleven One Media without prior written approval for that specific request.
8.1 Minimum eligibility for agency-supported accreditation
- Verified identity and an approved contributor profile.
- Active Contributor status under Section 6, unless a written exception is approved.
- Consistent professional quality and accurate metadata/captioning.
- No unresolved misconduct, rights, payment, security or compliance issue.
- A genuine editorial need for Eleven One Media to cover the event, person, institution or subject.
- Ability and commitment to deliver usable content promptly after or during the assignment as instructed.
- Compliance with the organiser’s own accreditation criteria and all applicable laws and venue rules.
8.2 Approval process
The contributor submits the request to Eleven One Media through the authorised internal channel before contacting the organiser in the company’s name.
Eleven One Media evaluates editorial value, contributor activity, prior performance, available quota, territorial needs, cost, rights restrictions and organiser requirements.
Approval must be issued in writing by an authorised Eleven One Media representative. Silence, historic support, a profile badge or previous access is not approval.
Approval is event-specific unless the written authorisation expressly states otherwise.
Eleven One Media may decline or withdraw support at its discretion where legitimate editorial, legal, operational, security or reputational reasons exist.
8.3 Obligations after accreditation
- Use the credential only for the approved purpose and do not transfer, lend, duplicate or misuse it.
- Attend and work the assignment professionally and deliver the required coverage within the agreed timeframe.
- Follow organiser, federation, league, venue and security instructions, including any image-use restrictions.
- Do not use Eleven One Media accreditation primarily to obtain personal access, travel, hospitality or benefits unrelated to the approved editorial assignment.
- Promptly return, cancel or destroy credentials when requested and report any loss, confiscation or incident immediately.
9. Assignments, Expenses and Travel
- No contributor may incur travel, accommodation, visa, equipment, access or other costs on behalf of Eleven One Media without prior written approval.
- An accreditation approval does not automatically mean that Eleven One Media will pay travel or other expenses.
- Where travel or expenses are approved, the written assignment should state the approved scope, limits and reimbursement requirements.
- Contributors are responsible for maintaining appropriate personal documentation, insurance and permissions unless Eleven One Media expressly agrees otherwise in writing.
10. Conflicts of Interest, Independence and Conduct
- Contributors must disclose material conflicts that could affect impartial coverage or create legal or reputational risk.
- Contributors must not accept payment, gifts or benefits in exchange for manipulating coverage, captions, placement or editorial treatment.
- Contributors must not promise publication, favourable coverage, deletion, accreditation or commercial outcomes on behalf of Eleven One Media without authority.
- Where a contributor also works for another agency, publication, club, federation, brand, government body or other organisation, they must respect all contractual obligations and must not misrepresent which organisation they are working for at a given assignment.
11. Security, Confidentiality and Data Protection
- Login credentials, contributor dashboards, client information, unpublished assignments, embargoed material, internal contacts, pricing and other confidential information must be protected and not shared without authority.
- Personal data obtained through Eleven One Media must be handled in accordance with the Eleven One Media Privacy Policy, applicable QFC data-protection requirements and other mandatory laws that apply to the relevant processing.
- Any suspected account compromise, lost device, credential theft, unauthorised access or disclosure of confidential information must be reported promptly.
12. Prohibited Conduct
- False claims of employment, agency, authority or official representation.
- Unauthorised accreditation or visa requests using the Eleven One Media name.
- Fabricating letters, signatures, credentials, invoices, assignments or company documents.
- Selling, lending or transferring credentials or access obtained through Eleven One Media.
- Submitting stolen, plagiarised, fabricated or materially deceptive content.
- Using credentials primarily for personal attendance, resale, hospitality, travel benefits or access unrelated to the approved assignment.
- Harassing organisers, subjects, staff, clients or other contributors, or repeatedly contacting them after being told to stop.
- Publishing confidential information or unpublished material without authorisation.
- Conduct that materially exposes Eleven One Media to legal, regulatory, security or reputational harm.
13. Review, Suspension and Termination
- Eleven One Media may review contributor status periodically and may request updated identity, portfolio, activity or compliance information.
- Access, contributor status or accreditation eligibility may be suspended while a credible complaint, rights issue, safety concern or misuse of the company identity is investigated.
- Where appropriate, Eleven One Media may issue a warning, require corrective action, downgrade a contributor to inactive status, revoke accreditation support, suspend access or terminate the relationship.
- Serious misconduct, including fraudulent representation, credential misuse, rights infringement or intentional deception, may result in immediate suspension or termination and may be reported to affected organisers or competent authorities where lawful and appropriate.
- Termination does not erase obligations that by their nature survive, including confidentiality, rights, payment, liability and restrictions on use of the Eleven One Media identity.
14. No Employment or General Agency Created
Unless a separate written agreement expressly states otherwise, contributor status alone does not create an employment relationship, partnership, joint venture, general agency, fiduciary relationship or authority to bind Eleven One Media. The legal nature of each relationship is determined by the applicable written agreement, the facts of the relationship and mandatory law.
15. Governing Framework and Mandatory Law
Eleven One Media LLC is incorporated and registered in the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC), Doha, State of Qatar, under registration number 4312. This Policy is intended to operate within the QFC legal and regulatory framework and the mandatory laws applicable to the relevant activity. Where contributors operate in other jurisdictions, including the United States, mandatory local laws and organiser or venue rules may also apply. Nothing in this Policy excludes rights or obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded.
16. Policy Administration and Changes
- Eleven One Media may update this Policy to reflect changes in editorial operations, technology, law, accreditation practices, market conditions or risk controls.
- Operational thresholds for Active Contributor or accreditation eligibility may be published or communicated separately and may vary by desk or market.
- Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate channel. Continued participation after an effective update may be treated in accordance with the applicable contributor agreement and law.
- Questions, exceptions and accreditation requests must be directed through the official Eleven One Media channel designated for contributors.
