- Scope
- All editorial fields, including news, sport, politics, culture, entertainment, features, video and other media assignments
Core principle
No account, contributor profile, published image, prior assignment, badge, email signature or historical collaboration gives any person automatic authority to represent Eleven One Media or obtain access in its name. Official representation exists only when Eleven One Media has issued or confirmed a specific written authorisation.
1. Purpose and Scope
This Policy governs requests for media accreditation, press credentials, event access, assignment letters, visa or access-support letters, use of the Eleven One Media identity, and any representation of an individual as acting for or on behalf of Eleven One Media LLC (“Eleven One Media”, “the Agency”, “we”, “us”).
It applies to photographers, photojournalists, journalists, videographers, reporters, correspondents, editors, producers, freelancers, contributors, contractors, partner personnel and any other person seeking to use an Eleven One Media affiliation in connection with media work.
The Policy applies across all editorial sectors and is not limited to sport. It therefore covers, among other areas, news, politics, culture, entertainment, business, lifestyle, features, breaking news, public events, conferences and international assignments.
2. Definitions
Contributor
A person whose content has been accepted, distributed, commissioned or otherwise handled by Eleven One Media under an applicable contributor, freelance, partner or assignment arrangement.
Active Contributor
A Contributor who is currently and consistently supplying acceptable editorial work and remains in good standing under the Contributor Policy and this Policy.
Accreditation-Eligible Contributor
An Active Contributor whom Eleven One Media has determined is eligible to request agency support for a particular accreditation. Eligibility is not a guarantee that the Agency, organiser, federation, authority or rights holder will approve the request.
Official Authorisation
A written approval issued or expressly confirmed by Eleven One Media for a defined event, assignment, purpose and period. Silence, prior cooperation, access to an account, possession of a logo or informal messages do not constitute Official Authorisation.
3. No Automatic Right to Represent Eleven One Media
A Contributor is not automatically an employee, officer, spokesperson, agent, legal representative or authorised representative of Eleven One Media.
Without prior written approval, no person may state, imply or allow a third party to believe that he or she is attending an event “for Eleven One Media”, “on assignment for Eleven One Media”, “representing Eleven One Media”, or under an equivalent description.
- Creating or maintaining a contributor account does not confer representative authority.
- Uploading photographs, video or articles does not confer representative authority.
- Publication or licensing of a Contributor’s work by Eleven One Media does not confer representative authority.
- A previous accreditation supported by Eleven One Media does not create a continuing or future right to accreditation.
- An Eleven One Media internal badge or contributor card, if issued, is not a government press licence and does not replace event-specific accreditation.
4. Eligibility for Accreditation Support
Accreditation support is a professional privilege linked to active contribution, editorial need, quality, reliability and conduct. It is not a membership benefit and is not provided merely because a person wishes to attend an event.
Baseline activity standard
Unless Eleven One Media approves an exception in writing, a Contributor should ordinarily have completed, during the preceding 60 days:
- at least three separate accepted editorial coverages or assignments; and
- at least thirty accepted editorial assets in total, which may include photographs, video or other approved content according to the Contributor’s role.
These figures are an internal baseline and may be adjusted by Eleven One Media by role, territory, event type, strategic need or editorial specialty. Meeting the baseline does not create a right to accreditation.
Additional eligibility factors
- Verified identity and current contact information.
- Professional portfolio and work quality acceptable to Eleven One Media.
- Accurate captions, metadata and editorial information.
- Reliable and timely delivery of prior assignments.
- Compliance with copyright, editorial ethics, privacy, safety and event rules.
- No unresolved disciplinary, payment, integrity or misrepresentation issue.
- A genuine editorial reason for Eleven One Media to support the requested access.
5. How Accreditation Must Be Requested
All accreditation requests must be submitted to Eleven One Media before the Contributor contacts the organiser in the Agency’s name. The Contributor must not pre-emptively register Eleven One Media, create an account for the Agency, submit the Agency’s company details or use Agency documents without permission.
As an internal operating rule, requests should ordinarily reach Eleven One Media at least ten business days before the relevant event, or earlier where the organiser’s deadline requires it. Late requests may be rejected without review.
Required information
- Event, assignment or institution name, date, location and organiser.
- Official accreditation link, deadline and access category requested.
- Contributor’s intended editorial coverage and expected deliverables.
- Any documents requested by the organiser, including identity or portfolio information.
- Expected travel, visa, insurance, equipment, credential or other support needs.
- Disclosure of any other outlet, agency, employer or client for whom the Contributor may also be working at the event.
6. Approval Authority and Form of Approval
Only Eleven One Media may decide whether its name, legal identity, media status, company documents or editorial affiliation may be used for an accreditation request.
Approval must come from the Founder & CEO or from a person or team expressly authorised by Eleven One Media to manage accreditations or assignments. Approval should be recorded through an official company email, internal platform approval, signed letter, or another traceable written channel designated by the Agency.
A verbal statement, personal WhatsApp message, social-media exchange or message from another Contributor is not sufficient unless subsequently confirmed through an authorised Eleven One Media channel.
7. Agency Name, Logo, Letters and Company Documents
The Eleven One Media name, logo, addresses, registration details, letterhead, signatures, official email addresses, press letters, assignment letters, company certificates and other corporate documents may not be copied, altered, reused or submitted to third parties without written authorisation.
- No Contributor may create his or her own accreditation letter on Eleven One Media letterhead.
- No Contributor may reproduce or simulate a signature of the CEO or any authorised representative.
- No Contributor may describe a personal accreditation request as an Eleven One Media request unless the Agency approved it.
- No Contributor may use the Agency identity to obtain hospitality, tickets, travel benefits, restricted access, interviews or privileges unrelated to an approved assignment.
8. Government, Organiser and Rights-Holder Credentials
Accreditation and press-card systems may be controlled by governments, event organisers, federations, leagues, venues, rights holders, public authorities or other institutions. Their requirements apply independently of this Policy.
In Qatar, official press-card licensing is administered through the competent governmental media-licensing framework. Any Eleven One Media contributor identification or assignment letter is an internal professional document only and does not replace a governmental press licence, event credential or other legally required authorisation.
Where an organiser requires confirmation directly from Eleven One Media, only the Agency may provide that confirmation. Eleven One Media may decline to certify information it cannot verify.
9. Assignment Letters, Visa Support and Travel Documentation
A request for a visa-support letter, assignment confirmation, embassy letter, invitation-support document or similar document is treated as a formal representation request and is subject to the same approval rules as accreditation.
Eleven One Media will issue such documents only where there is a genuine approved editorial assignment or operational reason, and only after verifying the Contributor’s status and the accuracy of the information to be stated.
No letter guarantees a visa, border entry, accreditation, work permission or access. The relevant authority retains full decision-making power.
10. Duties After Accreditation Is Granted
A person who receives access with Eleven One Media support must use it professionally and for the authorised editorial purpose. The Contributor must:
- comply with the organiser’s credential terms, venue rules, safety requirements and restricted-area instructions;
- respect applicable law and professional editorial standards;
- deliver the agreed coverage to Eleven One Media within the required editorial timeframe;
- provide accurate captions, names, dates, locations and relevant metadata;
- notify Eleven One Media promptly of any incident, complaint, confiscation, removal, arrest, credential issue or material dispute;
- not lend, transfer, sell or share the credential with another person; and
- not use access obtained through Eleven One Media principally to supply a competing agency or unrelated client without prior disclosure and approval.
11. Editorial Independence and Sensitive Assignments
Political, governmental, conflict, protest, court, security-sensitive, high-risk or otherwise sensitive coverage may require enhanced editorial review, safety planning, legal checks or specific authorisation before any representation request is made.
No Contributor may imply an Eleven One Media political endorsement, institutional position or sponsorship. Accreditation confirms an editorial relationship for the defined assignment only; it does not express support for any party, government, candidate, club, organisation or viewpoint.
12. Costs, Insurance and No Guarantee of Access
Unless Eleven One Media expressly agrees otherwise in writing, the Contributor remains responsible for personal travel, accommodation, visa charges, insurance, equipment, local transport and other personal costs associated with a proposed assignment.
Eleven One Media does not guarantee that an organiser, authority or institution will grant accreditation. The Agency may also decide not to submit, renew or support a request even where the Contributor has previously been accredited.
13. Cancellation, Change or Withdrawal
Eleven One Media may withdraw or amend its support before or during an assignment where editorial plans change, the Contributor becomes unavailable or inactive, information supplied was inaccurate, conduct concerns arise, an organiser changes its conditions, or continued representation would expose the Agency to legal, reputational, safety or operational risk.
If accreditation is cancelled or no longer required, the Contributor must cooperate with any return, cancellation or deactivation process requested by Eleven One Media or the credential issuer.
14. Misrepresentation and Prohibited Conduct
The following are serious violations of this Policy:
- requesting or obtaining accreditation in the name of Eleven One Media without approval;
- falsely claiming to be an employee, staff photographer, staff journalist, correspondent or authorised representative;
- using outdated or cancelled Eleven One Media letters or credentials for a new event;
- altering letters, signatures, company details, dates, event names or authorised purposes;
- using Eleven One Media credentials for personal attendance, resale, hospitality, immigration advantage or unrelated commercial benefit;
- providing false information to Eleven One Media or to an organiser;
- transferring or sharing event credentials; or
- conduct that materially harms the reputation, legal standing or professional relationships of Eleven One Media.
15. Consequences of Breach
Depending on seriousness, history and applicable law, Eleven One Media may take one or more of the following measures:
- warning or formal compliance notice;
- temporary suspension from accreditation support;
- change of status from Active to Inactive Contributor;
- withdrawal or cancellation of a submitted accreditation;
- notification to the relevant organiser or authority that the person was not authorised to represent Eleven One Media;
- suspension or termination of the Contributor relationship or account;
- recovery of direct losses or costs where legally available; and
- referral of suspected fraud, document misuse or other unlawful conduct to the appropriate authority where required or justified.
16. International and United States Operations
For assignments outside Qatar, the Contributor must also comply with the laws, credential systems, venue rules and journalistic-access requirements of the relevant jurisdiction. An Eleven One Media authorisation does not override local immigration, labour, press, security, privacy, trespass or event-access laws.
For United States assignments, including activities coordinated through New York or Washington, D.C., Eleven One Media may apply additional assignment, venue, insurance or credential requirements depending on the organiser and jurisdiction. Nothing in this Policy creates an employment relationship where one does not otherwise exist under applicable law.
17. Records, Verification and Audit Trail
Eleven One Media may maintain records of accreditation requests, approvals, refusals, supporting documents, credential numbers, assignment letters, organiser correspondence, attendance, delivered coverage and compliance incidents for operational, legal, security and editorial purposes, subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection requirements.
The Agency may verify a Contributor’s status directly with an organiser and may verify whether credentials issued in its name were used consistently with the approved assignment.
18. Exceptions and Appeals
Eleven One Media may approve exceptions for breaking news, unique access, specialist expertise, new strategic talent or other legitimate editorial reasons. An exception must be documented and does not create a precedent for future requests.
A Contributor whose request is declined may ask for internal reconsideration, but Eleven One Media is not required to disclose confidential editorial, commercial, security or relationship considerations underlying its decision.
19. Relationship With Other Eleven One Media Policies
This Policy should be read together with the Eleven One Media Terms & Conditions, Contributor Policy, Licence Information, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Editorial Standards & Code of Conduct and any specific assignment terms. Where a specific event or assignment letter imposes stricter conditions, those conditions apply to that assignment.
20. Legal and Regulatory Framework
Eleven One Media LLC is incorporated and registered in the Qatar Financial Centre, Doha, State of Qatar, under QFC Registration Number 4312. Media activity, press-card licensing, event accreditation and related professional access may also be subject to the competent laws, regulators, ministries, organisers and rights holders in Qatar and in each jurisdiction where coverage occurs.
This Policy is an internal and contractual governance policy. It does not purport to issue any governmental press licence, statutory credential or event access right.
21. Amendments
Eleven One Media may update this Policy to reflect legal, regulatory, editorial, security, operational or market changes. Material changes may be communicated through the platform, contributor account, official email or other appropriate channel.
22. Contact and Official Authorisations
Accreditation, representation and assignment-support requests must be sent through the official Eleven One Media channel designated for such requests. Only written communications issued or confirmed by an authorised Eleven One Media representative should be relied upon as company authorisation.
